I was walking around our neighborhood trailing the garbage truck. As they were throwing the empty cans everywhere, I was resisting the urge to pick each up and line them nicely by the curb. I also wished at one point that I had an edger because my walk would be so much nicer if every one's lawn had neat edges. My spice cabinet looks like this.....
I am not surprised when I find things that my daughter plays with like this....
But just so you know that I am not always like this because here is my craft closet....a super huge mess not contained to the closet.
I find myself with little OCD moments. So for my Aloha Friday question of the day....
Do you find yourself, at times, obsessive-compulsive? Care to share with what?
It's Friday, which means that over at An Island Life it is time for Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So on Fridays we take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, she asks a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. Then everyone else asks a simple question of their own blog for others to answer.
Nope..I dont think so. Not about anything! I'm a pretty go with the flow kind of person. HUBBY on the other hand his a little OCD about some things!
ReplyDeleteI like everything very neat and in it's place. My children are the opposite.
ReplyDeletelol. I love the two by two line-up. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm OCD when it comes to my son's bedroom. His toys must be put away correctly and I like to keep his Little People sets separate...wishful thinking? maybe. :)
thanks for visiting my blog today!
Not really. I use to think I was but when I saw your pics of your pantry I felt pretty unorganized!!! haha! Thanks for visiting my blog and have a great Friday!
ReplyDeleteNot really. I am particular about certain things, but I am disorganized in many ways. I wish my pantry looked like yours!
ReplyDeleteOnly about my daughter's hair! Drives me nuts to see all of that hair in her face.
ReplyDeleteI Loved to see the animals marching along; looked like what my daughter used to do w/ her socks!
I just go with the flow...I would love to have my desk here nice and neat. From time to time I straighten it out, but for some reason it doesn't seem to stay that way! I give up! *L*
ReplyDeleteYES!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLike today I am being questioned by my dork why I want a crack in my car window fixed I am like dude its a new car and I want it to still look like a new car!
I am obsessed with my kids clothes matching. I have been known to make Hubby redress the kids several times because I am convinced that that particular shade of purple (or red or orange or or or) does not go with that set of jeans. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL not in the organization department! I do check the oven a million and one times before leaving the house even if I haven't used it all morning. Jen
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty easy going so I'd say no OCD moments for me, but my husband and son on the other hand...they are 2 of a kind. They like things just so. It's kind of funny.
ReplyDeleteI'm OCD about my son's toys. I can't stand for the balls and tools and blocks to be mixed. I feel like it's twice a day that I'm picking the soccer ball out of the Lego bin.
ReplyDeleteI'm OCD about everything. Probably germs is my biggest concern. I will never touch a doorknob in a public restroom with my hand. If I absolutely have to, I slather on Purell immediately!
ReplyDeleteAbso-toodi-lutely! I had to rename it "Obsessive and Compulsively Delightful" because I enjoy it. I like things organized {not that everything is by any means} and in its place. When I was working my boss would make fun of me because I'd spend an hour each day before I really started working organizing and getting things ready for whatever it was I would do. In the office or working the line. Oh and the lists. Holy hell. I have lists for my lists. Ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteYes, and it makes me nutty to be so obsessive about certain things. Mainly, how clothes are hung in the closet. They must be organized on the right color hanger and separated by season.
ReplyDeleteYes, with just about everything.
ReplyDeleteI'm am 100% Monkish!
I was actually put on medication while pregnant w/ my two youngest sons because of OCD. I was cleaning so much that the doctor was concerned about the inhalation of some of the chemicals. I got better, in a lot of ways. I'm no longer on meds.
ReplyDeleteI do find myself counting things in my head out of nowhere. I like things even and in even numbers. I don't like people to take a different driving path...I get very anxious.
So there is my dirty little secrets, lol
I'm sitting here laughing as I'm reading your post because I am the same way in some areas, just like you. I make fun of my youngest monkey having OCD tendencies and blamed it on his daddy, but he totally gets it from his mommy.
ReplyDeleteLove the animal line up :) I think we all have our moments from time to time. Mind you with two little boys and a messy hubby it is had to have them anymore.
ReplyDeleteFirst love the animals two by two.
ReplyDeleteI am OCD about the way towels are hanging, and about chair pushed in properly.
I don't think I'm naturally OCD at all. If I start exhibiting some of the behaviors, it's usually a sign I need to chill out. I used to lean too much towards being a perfectionist with my work and writing, but I think that is really quite different than actual OCD. My house and husband would probably like me to be a little more disordered in this area, at least once a week or so!
ReplyDeleteI cannot stand for things to be disorganised. I do not function well if things are cluttered.
ReplyDeleteI'm not so much OCD but my daughter loves to line things up! I wish I were more organized!
ReplyDeleteyes I do find myself 0cd at times like with the towels in the closet or the clothes in outfits when they hang up
ReplyDeleteeveryday I'm always a oc ttying to control it, but can't
ReplyDeleteI actually am really seriously OCD. I can joke about it though, and it does not run my life. But things like getting dirty or wet freak me out a ton! And EVERYTHING has a spot and a place. No joke. Everything!
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny! Great post!
ReplyDeleteI think the animals are lined up for Noah and that you secretly work at the grocery store with that spice rack!! AWESOME!
I am OCD about certain things, but the things change. Can I be a schitzo OCD? How about that? Still want to be my friend?? :)
funny..my son does the same with his little people animals... i think he has a little OCD too...in a cute way =)
