This pan makes popcorn quicker than microwave popcorn, is mess free, easy to use (I have never burnt a batch), and you know everything that is going into your popcorn. All you have to do it turn the handle the three minutes it takes to pop. You can use as little as 1 tablespoons of oil with a full batch (6 quart - 24 cups). I use organic virgin coconut oil (you can read about it's health benefits HERE). The clean up is non-existent. Occasionally I'll wipe it out with a paper towel - but that's it. You do have to wash it out after kettle corn or carmel corn but a quick wash is all that it needs - nothing sticks to it as it is seasoned.
I have made colored kettle corn for party treat bags (colored coordinated with the party theme, of course) or a quick batch of carmel corn when I need to take a treat to a get together. It is always very well received. Nothing like the bagged carmel corn. It comes with a recipe book filled with sweet and savory concoctions. Popcorn is a great source of whole grains, fiber, and iron.
I'll post my recipe for popcorn cookies next Tuesday.

I could get it for him for Father's Day, maybe that is better, then he can be in charge of making the popcorn!
Hi Sarah! We love popcorn too! I want to try the colored stuff ~ my girls would adore that!
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm not linking up today. My younger daughter had her tonsils out yesterday, so we are hanging out watching movies and eating popsicles!
Have a great weekend!
Oh, we are big into popcorn in our household too! When we invite other kids over for playdates, I'm always amazed at how many have never seen an air-popper before. I bet they would love the Whirley Pop!

I just found your blog through McKMama's 'Not Me Monday!' We LOVE our Whirly Pop and have told all of our family and friends about it. If you haven't yet, you should totally try the cinnamon crunch popcorn. It has a lot of oil in it, so you wouldn't want to make it all the time, but it's really good! The Italian Breadstick recipe is another favorite around here. YUM!
