Math Blaster Review and Giveaway

Congratualtions Anash - you won!

Math Blaster

We had the chance to review Math Blaster, the new site from JumpStart. You have a chance to win a 6 month membership!
We just love the Jump Start products and Math Blaster was no different. The girls love making and naming their Space Cadets then exploring all the site has to offer. I doubt we have yet to find half of the things on there, by exploring you really do find new things all of the time. It doesn't get boring the longer you play. There is also a blog that tells you the new games that have been added. It's a fairly new concept so there are new things all of the time. Our 5 year old had so much fun with the math games. They do a good job and drilling problems. There are also some games that (as far as I could tell) were not math related. It is a good use of a computer game for practicing math skills. Math Blaster and JumpStart accounts and memberships are linked, so you have access to both worlds. You can read my review of the JumpStart world HERE. Both of my girls absolutely love playing. There are many places to explore once you launch the math game, most of which function similarly to arcade games. Some of the main highlights are the Academy, Red Alert, and Ready Room. The Academy is where Cadets build their math skills by undergoing Blaster Cadet Training and mastering hundreds of math lessons including: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, and many more! Some highlights of the Academy are: HyperCycle Training, Zapper Turret Training, Alien Wrangler, and Bolt Cruncher. Another important feature is Red Alert, which is an emergency call of duty for all cadets to help protect the space station from enemy forces and space debris. When the emergency alarm goes off, tell your children to lead their Blaster Cadet into one of the three Red Alert portals to play a fun shooting game. Lastly, Cadets can visit the Ready Room to watch featured movies and learn the history of Math Blaster and Blaster Cadets.
If you would like to enter the giveaway for the 6 month membership, leave a comment below. I will choose a random winner on April 10.

Disclosure: I was provided with a membership good for Math Blaster and Knowledge Adventure at no cost by Knowledge Adventure in order to test the products’ abilities and give my own personal opinions on it. The opinions I have given are mine and may differ from others but were not influenced by the company or the free product provided.
