I Won Buttons!

I won a giveaway over at the blog EverythingEtsy. If you have never shopped Etsy you are missing out. Etsy provides a marketplace for crafters, artists and collectors to sell their handmade creations, vintage goods and crafting supplies. I LOVE purchasing handmade items directly from the hands that made them.

The giveaway was from Jodie and Rose at SprinklesInTime who sell vintage treasures, and I received a big box of buttons!

You may wonder why I'm so excited about an old box full of old buttons. My mom had an old margarine tin full of all different kinds of buttons. When I was young I used to look through them and loved all the different shapes, colors, and sizes. I remember their look and feel. They bring back great memories. It's not surprising that a lot of my memories involve craft supplies; wax left over from a candle making project, a color wheel from an old design class, boxes of fabric scraps. My mom has the same craftiness that I do. So when I found out that I was the winner I couldn't wait for my girls to look through them. Little Bit was the first and she got so excited with each one. It was so much fun watching her. I hope she has nice crafty memories! And yes, I know, rare is a picture of this little one with pants. We are working on that.
