Aloha Friday!

It's Friday, which means that over at An Island Life it is time for Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So on Fridays we take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, she asks a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. Then everyone else asks a simple question of their own blog for others to answer.

Have you ever used Target or Publix brand diapers? Thumbs up or thumbs down??

Thanks :)

  2. Haven't used either one, but I once had someone buy me a cheapie Sam's Club brand which gave my son THE WORST diaper rash ever! After that, I always stuck to brands I knew.

  3. No I haven't used those but I did buy Krogers Comfort brand. My sitter likes them for day time, I didn't like the way they fit.

  4. We don't usually use generic, but tried them once a few weeks ago. Everything was going fine until Emily ate several Kong Balls. I can't speak about Target, but Publix diapers are definitely not Kong Ball proof.

  6. No, we have had a hard time with sensitive skin and diapers. For now we are loyal to Pampers Cruisers. Soon enough we will likely switch to pulls ups.

  11. It's been almost 12 yrs but I did use the Target brand for a bit. @ the time they were quite a bit like Huggies. I ended up going back since Huggies actually fit better.

  13. I've never used generic diapers but I'm not even sure they had them when I was in the diaper game.

  14. I'm just too loyal to Huggies or Pampers (with lots of coupons!). I tried a store brand once and then again to give it another chance, but was not impressed. Too much leaking!

  15. I got the brainy idea to try them once and HATED them. They are not very stretchy, they leaked and they felt awful! I have not used anything generic since that day!

  16. I've never used either one but I have used Costco's Kirkland brand. It was okay but I still prefer Huggies.

  19. Honestly it has been so long (10yrs and my detail memory does not go back that far- LOL) that I am not sure what we used. We might have got diapers at Sam's Club.

What I suggest is that you try to get a couple of samples from friends and/or the company before you buy a large package and try them.

But if you get some diapers you don't like, they can be recycled. They are really great for mopping up large spills, like the gallon milk carton that ends up on the kitchen floor or the orange juice bottle that little tykes try to pour and your table and floor are drenched in sticky liquids. Or toilet/tub large splashings or overflows.

My favorite is using them for gardening. The crystals that absorb the liquid can be put in the soil of your garden to help keep the soil hydrated.

Seems like I should do a listing of 'Other Uses for Disposable Diapers"!! I'll send you a link if I do.

  20. We used the Wal-Mart brand (White Cloud?), which I actually liked better than a pack of expensive Pampers someone gave us!

  21. I've used Target brand and Safeway brand diapers before. For a generic, they're not bad. They don't seem as comfortable or stretchy as Pampers or Huggies, but for the price, they're not bad diapers.
