Aloha Friday! Scrapbooking?

It's Friday, which means that over at An Island Life it is time for Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So on Fridays we take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, she asks a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. Then everyone else asks a simple question of their own blog for others to answer.

My question:

Do you scrapbook? If so, what is your hint for keeping up with it?

I love to scrap because it gives me a creative outlet and the end result is so perfect! We love to look back at them. I would always finish the year by the child's birthday (it gave me a goal) but then I had baby #3 who just cannot be put down and now I'm pretty behind! Suggestions? You are not allowed to say "put the baby down" :) She is our last and I want to snuggle her forever!

Join me for my new blog carnival Kid Friendly Friday, right here today!

  1. I do not scrapbook but I have wanted to do it. I have a friend who loves to scrapbook and she goes to scrapping parties. No kids, and they spend the day hanging out and scrapping. It is how she keeps up with it.

Me, I can't even get the pictures off my camera and into a photo album

  5. NO ideas, I'm 4 kids behind! I won't be catching up for awhile. Actually my idea is to still take lots of pics and make sure you get them organized by date, so when your ready you can find what you need =)! Wish I had my pics for my older kids like this!

  7. Scrapbooking? What is that? Sounds familiar. It's coming back to me. When was that? Oh I remember, I did that back in 1998.

My kids 11 and 13 love to look at the two scrapbooks I made when they were little. I love doing them too, the creative stuff.

Like you and so many others, I have become well rounded and have so many projects going on all the time that I don't really get anything done. A bit here and a bit there. I like being able to do almost anything, but I have not got myself organized to the point of being both able to do something and really completing what I have done.

Sounds like I need to reassess myself again and get a bit more organized. (OK a lot more organized!)

Good question. Thanks for posting it!

  8. I have to admit, I have never done it before. I think I was too afraid I would like it too much and spend WAY too much money on things. I love seeing what others do.

  15. Sorry I don't scrap book. I use shutterfly to digital scrap book but that's it. My tip for that is to do it once a month and I do all my pages for that month. This weekend I will do my pages for February, January's I did at the end of last month. Good Luck

  16. Funny you ask that... I just pulled out some scrapbooking stuff last night. I used to scrap every week with a girl friend - that is my suggestion, make it a girls night out and then you will actually work on it rather than doing household chores - but I haven't scrapped in about 3 years. Now that I have all these pictures of Lyla I am hoping to start now. Happy Friday!

I know a lot of people have scrapping parties where they get a lot done at once!

  19. I do scrapbook, but kinda have let it fall by the wayside since Callan was born. I do scrapbook for his stuff. But not for any of the other photos, etc. I have it all ready to go, just have not found the time. I would like to try digital scrapbooking too.
