Not Me Monday!

It's Monday. Time to tell you about somethings that did not happen....

So our 6 month old does NOT still sleep in bed with my husband and I (and I do NOT lie to our pediatrician saying that she is doing fine in her crib). I am NOT questioning my parenting skills because the other girls were in their cribs at 4 months. SO...I did NOT check out a huge pile of books about getting your child to sleep through the night (she does sleep perfectly all night long...just right by my side). Which, of course, the librarian did NOT offer her own advice. I picked up the first book and it did NOT list everything I was doing as absolutely correct (I love you Dr. William Sears)! Then I did NOT not read any others. I think I just needed it in writing somewhere that it was OK to do it my way. I am NOT OK with a little attachment parenting!

I did NOT tell my baby to focus on her core when trying to get her to sit by herself. And my three year old did NOT repeat this to her several times in encouragement.

My five year old did NOT have an accident in Borders and then run at me yelling "Mom, I thought it was going to be a fart!"

Go over to My Charming Kids and Not Me Monday to see what others have definitely NOT done this week! Enjoy!

  3. LOL! Sorry, oh but that's hilarious. Your poor 5 y/o...

And hey, I'm with you. If Dr Sears says it's okay, I'm all for it! We "sleep share" too. And I'm constantly getting "advice" to not do it. I'm just waiting to her what her doctor will say at her 1 year check up. Heaven forbid I'm still breastfeeding...

  5. My son was not still climbing in the bed at 4 yrs old... nope. I would never allow that (and secretly love that the middle of the night cuddling).
Loving the focus on the "core". That's the key!
    LOL.

My son still spends a fair amount of time in our bed and he sleeps better their and I like a good nights sleep when I can get it.

  8. Help Me Henry....I am laughing out loud at the accident/fart scenario. I have had that same experience.....not the fart part, but the accident in the bookstore....ended up having to literally give her a sponge bath in the bathroom sink with wet toilet paper and throw her panties in the trash! NOT PLEASANT!!! Then I had to tell the bookstore folks, so they could properly disinfect the sink....a little humiliating!
